great food, wonderful ambiance , great to go out for a date night.

Elegant resturant with considerate employees. Ordered red wine at first, then heard the chefs speical that day was seabass with tomato and cheese risotto with grilled vegtables and decided to change my mind for a white wine paired with the fish. It was delectable. No extra chrage for the wine change. Would highly recommend due to the excellent quality of food, drink, and employees. Didnt even know we had such a jem of a resturant in the city of manteca.

The wonderful Server she was not just beautiful yet elegant, and knew the menu. When we walked in we said "Wow , walking into a Modern yet elegant restaurant it was quite an experience. I felt comfortable at once yet not judged for I was not dressed appropriately yet our Server treated us as we were special. The menu was not overwhelming I like that you are at a restaurant your not trying to read a book lolThe steak I ordered was amazing on taste and texture it was cooked exactly like I requested. We did not order dessert yet I wish to come back and try ( im sure it is.)The only thing that would set this to a 5 🌟 star is the lighting, I would have the lights be even softer. Classy elegant restaurant. Easy $100 per person, but so worth it. Service and interior ambience is first class. Great place to impress a date.

Exceptional service, very good food, nice ambience. Overall excellent value. Dinner for four, with drinks, wine, dessert, and gratuity ended up at $250.00, and we sat at table for 90 minutes after they closed and they never asked us to finish. Definitely will return.

This is a “classy” restaurant in an unlikely place. After getting past the shabby parking lot, the inside was nice. Being on a company budget, I could only afford the airline chicken (look it up, I had to). Chicken was good, potatoes good, and the veg was amazing, especially the brussel sprouts (very surprised). The bread was good sourdough and the service was good.

Nice ambience good fine dining place

Excellent service I gotta hand it them. The staff are charming and on their game. Fresh flowers at the table and some of the best French Onion soup I’ve ever had around Stockton, Ernie’s is a great option for those of us looking for a hot steak on a steamy Central Valley night paired with an impressive selection of wines. I want to shake Ernie’s hand next time. I gotta hand it to him. The wine? Gotta have it! There’s even a tunnel of wine guiding you to the restrooms representing the great continuum of replenishment. The overall atmosphere is cozy albeit dated. I wish those stone tiles and carpet aged as well as the Chateau La Mission Haut-Brion Pessac-Leognan 2009 Red Bordeaux Blend. Now that’s sophistication for ya.

Our friends had suggested this establishment. It’s a little more “fancier” for Manteca I guess. Didn’t understand what was so special about it. None of our food really “wowed” us. Just seemed ok. For the price o expected a little better. No desire to return.

Omg, GREAT dish! Chilean Sea Bass with cauliflower risotto, steamed veggies and shaved fennel salad on top! Not on the menu and fabulously healthy!

The service was good but unfortunately the food is definitely not what it used to be. I ordered the fork and steak and the meat had no flavor and a lot of fat, not the good kind that gives flavor but the chewy hard stuff😣

Had a ladies night out on a Friday. It is deceiving parking in a crowded strip mall and walking up to the doors. When you walk inside it is a lovely atmosphere and the table we sat at was very nice, the booth was comfy. It was not busy at 6pm. The staff was welcoming and the manager and chef came by to check on us. I ordered the chicken marsala and substituted gnocchi for the mashed potatoes. It was a great choice. Lots of delicious mushrooms and the chicken was well cooked. Several others ordered seafood and said it was good. We ordered the affogato and it was absolutely delicious!!!!! Best part of the meal... Cons: The bread pudding was dry and they didn't know how to make my drink. Overall good experience!

Great atmosphere, food and service

I've worked in fine dining steakhouses and Michelin Star restaurants for the past 30 years. I have not had a meal this good in over 5 years. this is an amazing place tucked in a little corner that you would never notice from the street. Great wine selection fantastic cocktail selection and amazing food and service. I've started with the French onion soup which I've been having for over 20 years and I haven't had one this good in 20 years. The beat salad was my second course the dressing was an amazing dressing light crisp and refreshing. Fresh greens and juicy flavorful beets. I had the 12 oz ribeye which was grilled perfection with season vegetables that were Al dente and perfect. I finished the night with a vanilla creme brulee which just melted in my mouth. If you like food, I mean really enjoy food go to Ernie's! This has to be the best restaurant in the area.

Excellent service, excellent atmosphere, excellent food

This is our 1st time in Ernie's. So we are greeted by the hostess. Today December 11 2019. The hostess Takes us to the table we sit down. The hostess says he can't wear a hat in our dining Room to my husband. So of course my husband wants to leave. We did. My question is if someone comes in Wearing a turban do they get to stay. Outstanding cuisine, never disappointed. A hidden gem in the Valley. Feels like another world in the restaurant.

Food was wonderful. Really top notch. Went for lunch, I had seafood pasta and it was delicious. Others in my party had fork and knife steak sandwich and wild salmon entree. Both were cooked to perfection. Staff was friendly but, don't go if you are in a hurry. Service is at a leisurely pace.

1st class dining in a unexpected location! Bring your wallet. You wont be disappointed. Fancy for manteca lol🤣

Last week was our first time we visited this fine restaurant. But It is no doubt not the last. We enjoyed the evening very much with the good service, with the magnificent cuisine and wine and with the comfortable charge. We will surely visit there in a short time.

Gregory, Server was polished, professional, made excellent suggestions. Every course we ordered was beautifully presented and delectable! Staff is on point with customers. Would prefer fresh baked bread, other than that Ernie's is my favorite restaurant in Manteca.

I was looking for a local spot to take my wife for our anniversary and was looking for something fancy and had a romantic setting. Ernies exceeded EVERY expectations! From the service, our waiter, the food, and the vibe. Just go check it out for yourself! I would give them six stars if I could. Make reservations too. Makes it extra special for any occasion.

Every visit has been superb! Amazing atmosphere and quality food. Staff is very pleasent and friendly. Have been comming here for years from modesto. Keep up the good work.

Food and drinks were good. We had scallops, chicken, and filet. All yummy. -1 star for the creme brulee being a bit over cooked and service being a little slow at the end.

The food was amazing. I had the fliet and it was fork tender. My husband had the best duck he has ever tried. Everything was excellent including the service. We will be back.

Expensive without the atmosphere. Tries to be Chicago or Manhattan, but falls short with staff's lack of personality.

The food is spectacular, full of flavor, and the stakes are cooked to perfection, just to your liking, the desserts are always great tasting and they have a large variety of soft and alcoholic drinks if you are in Manteca and want a delicious meal stop by Ernies you will not regret it.

Ernie's is a mid-high end restaurant for this area. The food is well prepared and flavorful, the service is extremely attentive, bar drinks were made with skill and understanding. We will return. Because of our situation we will probably only visit two to three times a year for special occasions.

Great food, amazing dessert!

The place offers a great variety of fresh food. I enjoy eating here. Employees are always super nice, rates are reasonable and the spot is always kept clean.

What an exquisite dining experience. All around perfect--food, service (that is rare to find) and ambiance. We were traveling home on Hwy99 from a trip up to Oregon and Yelp led us there. Absolutely 5 Stars. We will look forward to stopping in again to this jewel in Manteca.

The good:French onion soup, filet, potatoes roasted in duck fat. Wait staff friendly and attentive, although I think our waiter was a little drunk.The mediocre:Ribeye- little to no marbling and needed salt. (No, there isn't any on the table to add yourself). It was a little tough, ate more like a New York.Broccolini under cooked and under seasoned.Shrimp cocktail-on the small size, little freezer burned, bit fishy, but cocktail sauce is good.Ceasar salad.The bad:The cost. Too expensive for what you get.Prices should be about 25-30% less.Parking lot cramped.Bottom line: if you know how to grill, save some money and go pick up a couple of USDA Prime steaks at Costco.
